Marking a Patient as Deceased

When you learn of a patient's passing, be sure to mark them as deceased in the patient profile using the steps below. This ensures that no campaigns are generated for that patient.

  • Navigate to the Patient Page for the deceased patient
  • Locate the Communications Details section of the patient's home page
  • Next to the field Deceased, click No (the Edit Patient pop-up window will appear)
  • One more time, click No next to the field Deceased
  • Select Yes from the resulting drop-down menu
  • Click Save. There will no longer be any communications generated for this patient
  • Exit out of the window to return to the patient profile
